The All Electric Transition

Sustainabilty

A New Chapter for Taylor Reay

We’ve always believed that to provide the best service, you have to stay ahead of the game. Today, we are incredibly proud to share a major milestone in our journey: Taylor Reay is officially transitioning to an all-electric fleet.

To kick things off, we’ve just taken delivery of the brand-new Ford E-Transit Custom. For us, this isn't just about a shiny new motor on the drive; it’s a commitment to our customers, our community, and the future of the trade.

Why Electric? Why Now?

The world is moving fast, and as a proud British firm, we want to lead from the front rather than play catch-up. Switching to electric allows us to "future-proof" the business against rising fuel costs and tightening emissions regulations (like ULEZ and local Clean Air Zones), ensuring we remain the most reliable choice for our clients for decades to come.

But beyond the "business sense," there’s a much more personal reason: the local community.

Better for Your Street, Better for Your Doorstep

As a firm that lives and works alongside you, we know that the small things matter. By moving to the E-Transit Custom, we’re bringing three major benefits to your neighbourhood:

  • Silent Service: No more diesel engine rattle. If we have an early morning call-out or a late-night delivery, we can arrive and depart quietly without disturbing the peace.

  • Cleaner Air: With zero tailpipe emissions, we aren't leaving fumes behind while we work. It’s our way of helping keep the air cleaner for our local families and schools.

  • On-Site Innovation: Our new van features Pro Power Onboard, meaning we can run our high-performance tools directly from the van’s battery. No noisy, smelly generators—just efficient, professional work.

A Word From Our Founder

"We’ve always been a firm that looks ahead, but more importantly, we’re a firm that cares about the streets we work on. Moving to an all-electric fleet is a massive milestone for us. It means we can turn up to a job at 7 AM without waking the neighbours, and we aren't leaving any fumes behind in our local community. It’s about being a responsible local business and making sure we’re equipped to serve our customers for the next twenty years and beyond."

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning of our green transition. As we roll out more electric vehicles, we’ll be sharing updates right here on our new blog from "behind the scenes" looks at our new tech to tips on how we’re making our entire operation more sustainable.

Keep an eye out for our new plates on the road, give us a wave if you see the E-Transit in the wild!
