About Taylor Reay
Taylor Reay is a professional decorating service based in Martock, Somerset.
Founded by Anthony Taylor, the business provides interior and exterior decorating for homes, along with selected commercial and educational projects across South Somerset and the surrounding area.
Every project starts with understanding the property, the specification and the result you would like to achieve.
Proper preparation, appropriate materials, clear communication and practical guidance on colour and finishes are then brought together to deliver a high-quality finish.
Most residential projects are personally completed by Anthony. Where additional capacity is needed for larger projects, trusted support can be introduced while Anthony remains responsible for communication, coordination and the final standard.
Taylor Reay is intentionally kept personal, giving clients one clear point of contact and a consistent level of care from the first conversation through to completion.
A note from Anthony
Before moving into live entertainment, I trained as a professional decorator after leaving school, learning the practical foundations of preparation, materials and finishing to the highest standard.
I then spent more than a decade working in live entertainment, writing, directing and producing theatrical productions across the UK and Europe.
That background taught me the value of preparation, timing, organisation and attention to detail. A successful production relies on every element working together, and I bring the same mindset to every Taylor Reay project.
For me, decorating is about more than the final coat of paint. It is about understanding the property, making the right choices, preparing surfaces properly and keeping clients informed throughout.
I created Taylor Reay to offer a more personal, dependable and carefully managed approach to decorating.
Today, I personally review every enquiry, attend project visits, prepare quotations and remain the main point of contact throughout each project.
Much of my work comes through recommendations and returning clients, and I deliberately limit the number of projects I take on at one time so each property receives the care and attention it deserves.

Since March 2026, the business has operated with an electric van as part of a wider effort to reduce emissions and work more responsibly.
Taylor Reay also uses low-VOC coatings where appropriate, plans materials carefully, reduces unnecessary waste and favours durable products designed to perform well over time.
A finish that lasts is one of the simplest and most effective forms of sustainability.

Every Taylor Reay project is approached with careful planning, appropriate risk assessment and respect for the property and those using it.
Taylor Reay carries appropriate public liability insurance, with additional insurance and site requirements arranged where larger supported projects require them.
For educational, commercial and other sensitive environments, relevant access, safeguarding and compliance requirements are reviewed before work begins.
