About Taylor Reay
Taylor Reay is an owner-led decorating and colour consultancy service based in Martock, Somerset.
Founded by Anthony Taylor, the business provides a more considered approach to interior and exterior decorating for homes and selected commercial and educational spaces across Somerset, Dorset and the surrounding South West.
Every project begins with an understanding of the property, the work required and the result the client would like to achieve.
Thoughtful colour and finish guidance, careful preparation, appropriate materials and clear communication are brought together to create work that feels beautifully resolved and properly managed.
Most residential projects are personally completed by Anthony. For selected larger projects, trusted support may be introduced where additional capacity is beneficial, while Anthony remains responsible for the specification, communication and final standard throughout.
Taylor Reay remains intentionally owner-led, allowing each project to receive the personal attention, continuity and care on which the business has built its reputation.
A note from Anthony
Before founding Taylor Reay, I spent more than a decade working in live entertainment, directing, writing and producing theatrical productions across the UK and Europe.
That background taught me the value of preparation, timing, organisation and attention to detail. A successful production relies on every element working together, and I bring the same mindset to every Taylor Reay project.
Decorating is not only about the final coat of paint. It is about understanding the property, making the right decisions, preparing surfaces properly and ensuring the client always knows what is happening.
I created Taylor Reay because I wanted to offer a more personal and dependable alternative to the traditional decorating experience.
Today, I personally review enquiries, attend project visits, prepare quotations and remain the main point of contact throughout the work.
The majority of Taylor Reay projects continue to come through recommendations and returning clients and I deliberately limit the number of projects I undertake at one time so each property receives the care and attention it deserves.

Our commitment to the future
Taylor Reay believes that high-quality decorating should respect both the property and the wider environment.
Since March 2026, the business has been transitioned to an electric van as part of a wider effort to reduce emissions and operate more responsibly.
Alongside this, Taylor Reay specifies low-VOC coatings where appropriate, plans materials carefully, minimises waste and favours durable products designed to perform over time.
A finish that lasts is one of the most effective forms of sustainability.

Every Taylor Reay project is approached with careful planning, appropriate risk assessment and respect for the property and those using it.
Taylor Reay carries appropriate public liability insurance, with additional insurance and site requirements arranged where larger supported projects require them.
For educational, commercial and other sensitive environments, relevant access, safeguarding and compliance requirements are reviewed before work begins.
